(Las Vegas, NV)  Josh Kling, IFCO's Strategic Market Development Manager, told a gathering of food, beverage and consumer packaged goods executives that standardization and packaging optimization in e-commerce order fulfillment leads to greater efficiency, increased sales and greater customer satisfaction for grocery retailers. 

“Online shopping in the US is expected to grow 21% annually over the next three years," said Mr. Kling.  “IFCO's experience with European retailers with thriving e-commerce businesses shows that standardized packaging such as RPCs enables more efficient order fulfillment, boosting sales, reducing costs and increasing customer satisfaction."

The role of standardized reusable packaging enables retailers to shift to more efficient automation.  Automated systems for order fulfillment have become increasingly robust, with better design for productivity, ergonomics and the added benefit of waste reduction.
