Vice President Grower Sales- North America

Leader of the North America Grower Sales team who will develop the strategy and lead all aspects of sales and business development ultimately driving growth for the organization.

• Develops the commercial strategy for producers (Growers, Shippers & Packers of Produce). • Establishes monthly and annual sales objectives in alignment with IFCO’s business plan and budget cycle • Provides weekly, monthly and quarterly demand forecasts relative to volume vs. budget • Develops and coordinates sales selling cycle using Miller Heiman methodology • Directs development activity of leads and opportunities and coordinates sales distribution by establishing customer assignments, quotas and goals. • Manages elements of asset efficiency/ velocity including setting North America inventory goals and hitting cycle time objectives • Partner with finance team to analyze pricing and profit expectations for each deal • Directly manages development of major and critical customer accounts and coordinates management for all other accounts. Establishes C-Level relationships with top customers • Delivers sales presentations to key national and strategic customers in coordination with sales directors and national account managers. Top negotiator when needed for major customers sales or disputes • Analyzes and controls expenditures of department to conform to budgetary requirements. • Responsible for research and analysis to understand competitive behavior. • Provides guidance for seasonal capital pool planning (asset acquisition) in coordination with finance and operations • Provides commercial and industry expertise to sales team and senior management • Provides leadership, coaching and direction to all levels of the sales teams


• Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Agribusiness related field is required • Minimum 15 years leading, developing, driving high performance distributed sales teams • Minimum 15 years sales experience in the fresh produce industry across North America • Experience as a leader within a global organization preferred • Demonstrated success in building and maintaining relationships with customers • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively at all levels to create a results-driven, team-oriented environment • Demonstrated ability to establish solid rapport with industry personnel within produce sectors • Must be willing/able to travel a minimum of 50% weekly


• Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills at both functional and strategic level • Technical skills in strategic planning and sales planning • Proven planning and organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities and deadlines • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, and the capability to identify needed resources and dispatch them quickly to improve performance • Strong commitment to company values • Computer literacy required, including proficiency in standard business applications such as Salesforce and Microsoft Office Suite • Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish helpful

Preferred candidate locations: Southeast, East Open to other locations for qualified candidates Due to high travel requirements, candidates must be located close to a major airport.
