Acquired from Brambles in 2019 by a partnership of Triton and Abu Dhabi Investment Authority (ADIA), IFCO is the world’s leading supplier of Reusable Plastic Containers (RPCs). Sustainability and the concept of the circular economy is at the core of our business model. Our Reusable Plastic Containers (RPCs) are meant to be shared and reused for a more sustainable supply chain. We have been doing this since 1992.

In 2020 IFCO developed a multi-year IT transformation programme involving several IT related initiatives. To support this portfolio of change we are strengthening our Program manager capability and looking to appoint a Sales & Operational Planning Program Manager (m/f/d).

Key responsibilities:

  • You are reporting to the Corporate Systems Director, who has overall responsibility for managing the portfolio of corporate systems IT projects
  • You ensure the successful technical and business implementation of the S&OP solution in all identified IFCO regions
  • You ensure the project delivers on time and budget, including both IFCO and Supplier deliverables
  • You ensure strong alignment between all key Stakeholder on the intended solution through the detailed design MVP and release delivery phases
  • You liaise with other on-going transformation programmes (Salesforce, Reporting / Data Warehouse, Finance) impacting S&OP to ensure alignment and deliver a holistically working solution to the business
  • You own the overall integrated project plan, including both IFCO and Supplier activities and deliverables
  • You manage & facilitate the review and sign-off of all defined project deliverables
  • You own and manage the global rollout schedule, working with key stakeholders and Suppliers to minimize impact to our business and people
  • You are responsible for interfacing with the centralized IFCO PMO function, which will include financial reporting
  • You work with IFCO SME’s as required, particularly with respect to other systems (SAP, MyIFCO), data and interfacing
  • You start building an internal ‘centre of excellence’ that is able to own and proactively drive the solution forward once the main delivery is complete
  • You manage Supplier contractual arrangements, lead negotiations, internal reviews, and the sign-off process
  • You manage IFCO resources and ensure the project has the necessary people in place to deliver on our obligations. Where necessary, additional internal capability should be built through recruitment

We expect:

  • You hold a university degree in business informatics, computer science, business administration with focus on IT or comparable education
  • You are a seasoned senior IT project manager, with proven track record of managing technical and business projects during a period of major transformation
  • You have already implemented an S&OP tool at a company or were part of the implementation team
  • You show proven track record of creating trusted relationships with senior leaders of the business
  • You are experienced in setting the direction, approach, and governing IT projects
  • You gained experience in managing a solution governance and working with the relevant change request processes
  • You are experienced in working with Suppliers and Partners as well as in negotiating and agreeing on multi-year implementation contracts
  • You show track record of delivering complex and transformational technical and business change project in a multi-geography and multi-language context
  • You are hands on in taking a lead and coordinating
  • You have a strong knowledge of MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel), Jira and ITIL knowledge is a plus but not a required
  • You are certified in Agile methodology such SAFe or in project management like PRINCE2 – desirable, but not necessary
  • Your communication skills in English and German are great, additional European languages are desirable
