Product Development Manager - Home Based

Develop, present and execute strategies to expand IFCO RPC business into new product channels and service offerings as well as new vertical markets and geographic territories.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop new product strategy based on market opportunity analysis and supported by business case assessment. • Lead product development process across organizational cross functional teams to drive holistic strategy for successful development, launch, and profitable commercial applications. • Create innovative RPC application designs to exceed customer expectations and drive value • Develop product development process and actively manage all projects in development pipeline. • Identify and lead projects focused on IFCO services that add value to customers and are supported by profitable business cases. • Lead innovation ideation sessions for internal and external audiences • Provide Executive Leadership with consistent updates on all key projects, KPI’s, and assigned budget line items.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor’s Degree in mechanical engineering • Master level degree in Engineering and/or Business preferred • Plastics and/or Technology required • Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience in packaging product design, plastic injection moulding technologies and processes, and project management • Minimum 3 years Commercial Sales or Customer facing responsibility • Demonstrated success in process development to support product innovation • Track record of product development from concept to market launch • Ability to lead innovation ideation sessions with internal and external stake holders • Ability to lead multiple projects simultaneously across global business environment • Demonstrated comfort in working within a matrix environment to achieve objectives • Strategic vision to support commercial pipeline of solutions for near, mid, long term timeframe

• Outstanding Influencing skills and ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders • Advanced project management skills, efficient organizational abilities to meet timeframe deadlines • Strong research skills, problem solving and analytical ability • Advanced understanding of margin and profit drivers, business acumen and commercial pragmatism • Ability to effectively present information and respond to management, employee, customer and supplier queries and demands • Able to reach a quick understanding of customer requirements, accurately interpret underlying needs, buying behaviour, change drivers, influencers and direction. • Ability to extract and define key drivers to customer’s decision-making process • Positive, competitive and confident personality with strongly developed persuasive and collaborative skills

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Fluency in another language besides English preferred such as Spanish or German
