Manager Sales / Business Development - Meat (m/f/d)

to support all IFCO countries with the launch of new applications “Meat”.

Key responsibilities:

  • You develop, present and execute strategies to expand the business into new product and services offerings as well as new vertical markets and geographic territories
  • You acquire and educate new and existing customers
  • You are expert of the Meat industry
  • You help to understand better the needs, supply chains and build up relationship in the assigned industry
  • You make business analysis
  • You participate in the development of overall sales strategy for new market verticals
  • You manage the selling process in order to acquire new business in close collaboration with other departments
  • You ensure general criteria are met and business risks are managed properly

We expect:

  • You hold a university degree or comparable education
  • You have at least 5 years of working experience in a producer or supplier company for meat in the area of sales and/or logistics or in a retail company in the area of purchasing, category management or logistics of meat
  • You have international experience dealing with various business cultures
  • You have been in charge of negotiation in logistics, merchandising and actively involved in price negotiation
  • You have been accountable for packaging decisions
  • You have advanced project management skills, efficient organizational abilities to meet timeframe deadlines
  • You are customer focused with a "can-do" attitude
  • You have an advanced understanding of margin and profit drivers, business acumen and commercial pragmatism
  • You are fluent in English, German knowledge would be a plus
