Munich, Germany – June 22 , 2021: IFCO SYSTEMS, the world’s leading provider of Reusable Packaging Containers (RPCs) for fresh food packaging, today announced Francesca Amadei has been named Vice President of IFCO Southern Europe.

Pierre-Olivier has done an excellent job in developing a very strong business in France and improving the overall performance in the South European Region."
Francesca most recently served as Country General Manager at CHEP Italia. In that role, she was responsible for driving annual double-digit growth in the pallet pooling business developing strong and mutually beneficial customer relationships. She introduced and fostered Agile ways of thinking and working to promote innovation, customer value creation and people empowerment, leading to CHEP Italia Top Employer award in 2021.

Mrs. Amadei joined CHEP Italy in 2011, serving in increasingly senior commercial and general management roles ranging from Retail Service and Commercial Director to Country General Manager. Prior to CHEP, she worked for the Italian Trade Commission (ICE) and Italian Chamber of Commerce in Canada and strategy and business development for other relevant players in the Italian market. Mrs. Amadei graduated in International Relations and Diplomatic Affairs with a focus in International Economics from the University of Bologna (Italy), holds a Master in Business Administration (MBA) from SDA Bocconi in Milan. Certified as a Professional SCRUM Master, she has also participated in the Ongoing Executive Education & Leadership Development Program at the Centre Européen d’Education Permanente (CEDEP) in Fontainebleau, France.
Mrs. Amadei will report to IFCO CEO, Michael Pooley, and will assume her duties on July 1, 2021, taking over the role previously held by Pierre-Olivier Blanchard.
