IFCO SYSTEMS has developed serveral tailor made pool management solutions in different industrial sectors.

Industry Solutions is running open and closed circuits with a variety of Reusable Plastic Containers (RPCs) and services to meet customers specific requirements.

IFCO SYSTEMS manages ist own containers as well as containers belonging to the customer.

At present, we are primarily focusing on applications in transport logistics between manufacturers and retailers and on the "CEP" (Courier, Express, Parcel) market offerings in the transport segment.

We are already active in areas including downstream goods distribution logistics, spare parts distribution in the automotive industry, and parcel logistics.

We lease over 400,000 reusable plastic containers, which go out to over 10,000 consignees.

CEP

		For customers from the "CEP" (Courier, Express, Parcel) segment, Industry Solutions offers a wide range of pool management services
	For several operators in the CEP sector, we provide containers for the respective CEP service providers in the closed pool. The service providers make these containers available to their customers for goods dispatch in the business-to-business sector. In this way, a wide variety of products can be safely transported from A to B in reusable plastic containers with optimum protection. Container investment: Purchase of corporate identity-consistent container designs for the CEP service provider; purchase and application of container codes for container tracing (RFID, barcode, colour code) Empties transportation: Delivery to customers of CEP service providers and retrieval from CEP service provider consolidation points. Depot service: Goods inward and outward scanning, quality inspection, reconditioning, repair, disposal of defective containers and temporary storage as well as wet or dry cleaning. Operational order processing: Via call centre; input of customer orders in the corresponding ERP systems of the CEP service providers. Container tracing and empties account management: In the event of various risk transfers, containers are scanned at the premises of IFCO SYSTEMS and the pool participants. The scanned customer data is transferred via an interface to the tracking & tracing application provided by IFCO SYSTEMS. Within this central database, empties accounts for all pool participants are managed in accordance with the scan data. The participants have access to their stock accounts at any time via the web-based tracking & tracing application. Reporting, pool control and optimisation: Identification of weak points as well as suggestions on countermeasures and joint implementation to improve efficiency.

				Within the Automotive Industry IFCO SYSTEMS pool management services have devised VDA standard containers in the area of small and heavy load carriers. read more
