The core competence of IFCO SYSTEMS is efficient management of a global leasing pool of over 140 million RPCs, which are mostly used for transporting fruit and vegetables.

In the food packaging sector in particular, great demands are placed on service providers. The fruit and vegetables must be transported from the producer to consumers as quickly as possible, often across country borders. In many instances, the period between harvest and consumption is no more than a few days.

This application places great demands on IFCO SYSTEMS as a pool service provider. We are therefore present in all relevant producer and consumer markets and ensure that the right quantity of RPCs is available for our customers throughout Europe at all times, on time.

With 10 different sizes of our reusable plastic containers (RPCs), our Magnum-Box as well as Plastic-Pool-Pallet we provide the optimum packaging for the various types of fruit and vegetables in the goods cycle from the producer to the consumer.

Our service covers leasing, ordering and delivery of the containers to the producers as well as collection from retailers. The containers are then sorted, cleaned and inspected in our wash and service centres.
